Overview
This SAT Bootcamp Day intensive focuses on triangle relationships, trigonometric reasoning, and SAT-style geometry strategy. Students will review common triangle patterns, special right triangles, trigonometric ratios, and multi-step SAT geometry applications while strengthening interpretation and problem-solving skills.
The workshop emphasizes recognizing relationships quickly, organizing information visually, and choosing efficient solving approaches for SAT triangle and trigonometry questions.
What We’ll Work On
Students may work on:
- Special right triangles
- Triangle side and angle relationships
- Similar triangles
- Triangle angle relationships
- Basic trigonometric ratios (sine, cosine, tangent)
- Multi-step SAT geometry setup
- Identifying missing information from diagrams
- SAT geometry interpretation and problem-solving
- Recognizing common SAT geometry traps and shortcuts
Workshop Format
This is a 2-hour SAT Bootcamp Day intensive that combines guided instruction, visual walkthroughs, collaborative discussion, independent SAT problem solving, and coached geometry strategy practice. The workshop prioritizes strategic reasoning and geometric interpretation rather than memorizing disconnected formulas alone.
Readiness Guidance
This is a Level 2 workshop designed for students who already have some familiarity with:
- foundational geometry concepts
- basic algebraic equations
- triangle vocabulary
- introductory SAT geometry questions
Prior trigonometry experience is helpful but not required. Students do not need advanced geometry experience before attending.
Workshop Level
Level 2 — Intermediate Strategy & Application
Level 2 workshops focus on guided SAT strategy, multi-step problem solving, and intermediate application questions. These sessions are designed to strengthen interpretation skills, reinforce foundational concepts, and build confidence with more complex SAT scenarios.
Students should already have some familiarity with foundational SAT concepts related to the workshop topic.
